Anyone who manufactures, packs or imports pre-packaged goods, or deals in weighing and measuring instruments, must register under the Legal Metrology Act. The label declarations on every pack are governed by the same rules.

Common questions
Does this apply to an online seller?
If you pack goods for sale or import packaged goods, yes. Reselling goods packed by a registered manufacturer generally does not need its own registration.
