EPR Registration (Plastic, E-waste, Battery, Tyre)

Extended Producer Responsibility registration with CPCB for producers, importers and brand owners.

Reviewed by CA Hitendra Pal Singh· company law, tax and complianceLast reviewed

If your product or its packaging is plastic, electronic, a battery or a tyre, you are a producer, importer or brand owner under the waste-management rules and must register on CPCB’s EPR portal, meet recycling targets and file annual returns. Marketplaces now ask for the EPR number at onboarding, and unregistered brands face environmental compensation.
